Summer Approaching

If only it would get here quicker.  I am honestly surprised I made it through this school year so far without a severe nervous breakdown!
However, back to summer, what is their to look forward to- oh a lot! I am going to Disney World with Brant and Brylee.  Oh yeah, their parents are going as well.  I am excited about it though!

I am also going to Birmingham with Rob. Anyone with further ideas of what we can do there, please let me know!

I'm thinking of starting my Masters in Administration.  I decided this year that this was the best area for me to further study.  I hope to become a respected principal.  I am excited about going back to school in  a way.  Mainly because it just means more money.  And considering our economy, I better do whatever I can to help myself.

I've recently discovered the show "The Office".  Granted, my brother told me about, but I did not let that sway me from finally watching it.  I'm am glad I did.  I found it superbly funny.  I especially love the blonde, Angela, she is killing me with her cats! She pulled one out of no where once.  And Dwight mercy killed one.  She bathed one with her tongue once- GROSS! But it was all in the name of comedy!  I love that Pam and Jim are PB&J.

Bragging Rights

So lemme just take a moment to tell you about my amazing niece and nephew! Seriously, I know everyone says stuff like their kids are the greatest, but I truly believe that not many can top mine.

So lets start with Brant. He is AMAZING! He just turned 5 in December, and the other night he called me up to read an entire book to me! I am so proud of him. OK so, yea, it wasn't War and Peace. However, I am super proud of him! Not to mention he is the best darn soccer player ever! Seriously, the parents of the opponents would complain until the coach started pulling him during the game. Poor Brant, don't blame him for his unnatural athletic abilities!

Now Brylee, check her out, she is too cute! She will be two later this month, and she is COMPLETELY potty trained! I was so surprised when she woke up at 2 A.M. to wake Mommy cause she needed to tee tee in the potty. She is so funny! I love her attitude, she is soooo sassy!

Anyway, I know that some of you are like, those aren't amazing accomplishments. Well I know they are! :)

Ta-da!

So I finally got bored with the other background.  The truth, I was bored with it a long time ago, but laziness/ procrastination forced me to press on with the look. Maybe this is an improvement, maybe not.

I am wishing away school.  The faster the better. I'm down to 15 more weeks of school.  Now there aren't actually the correct number of days, but I don't feel like getting that technically when there's still so much time left.

The kids have gotten me sick again.  I am miserable. Hopefully, my immune system will toughen up for next year! I don't want to get sick like this again- or as often!

I think third grade is kicking my butt. I honestly don't want to think about it, but I have to at times.  Maybe I should have taken the middle school position I was offered.  But I can keep with the 'what-ifs,' in fact they will drive me crazy!

So I am keeping myself busy with crafts for my niece.  Her birthday is coming up, and I think she and my sister will be pleasantly surprised.  I have even convinced several teachers at school that they need to pay me to make similar items for their daughters! I never considered myself an artist, never considered myself artistic in any form, but apparently I have some ability or I wouldn't be able to create funky stuff for Brylee.  I don't want to go into too much detail right now.  Mainly because my sister reads this, and I want it to be a surprise! So we are just going to have to wait like the rest of them.  By the way, her birthday is Feb 21.

I am also planning several trips to keep myself occupied! I am going on a trip during Spring Break, not sure where yet though. And I am going to Disney World this summer! I am very excited about both! Oh and any ideas for the Spring Break trip would be welcomed!

I'm losing myself...

So for months now I've been working on losing weight.  I've been allowing myself to cheat from time to time. What overweight person wouldn't?  Seriously though, I go through spills when I just didn't care anymore.  What does it matter?  It's like I've been overweight for years and years and years, what makes me think I can just quit what I've been used to for most of my life.

Anyway, I was going to WeightWatchers.  Now I'm not downing WeightWatchers, they are a business.  And apparently their program does work. I've lost weight.  But after a while, you begin to wonder why you are forking over your money just for them to say, "umm... yeah you must not have done right this week, gained a pound",  "way to go, see you keep up with it, and you'll keep losing..lost a pound,"  or my personal favorite "Wow, (insert member's name here) would you like to share with the group how you lost your 3 pounds this week."

Do you really want me to say that I didn't write down everything I ate.  I am just actually working to make more conscientious choices on food.  So at the beginning of the New Year, I told myself I would keep losing weight, but without forking over my life savings!

So yeah, I've lost another 2 pounds.  I am 8 pounds away from my first goal weight.  Then I will set another goal.  Then finally I should be able to set my target weight and achieve it.  By the time I'm done I will have lost oh 70-ish pounds.  I have currently lost 15.  So yeah 35 more to go.  I just figure making smaller goals and rewarding myself along the way will be better.  WeightWatchers does the small thing, but I will give myself more than a keychain!
